This post is actually a week late. This theme was last week’s. But I had to wait for this trip to Al Ain Paradise, so I could get nice pictures to post for the theme.
*****************************
Al Ain Paradise is a stunning garden located in Al Ain City, managed by Akar Lanscaping Services and Agriculture. The garden had set the Guinness World Records achievement last year with 2,426 hanging flower baskets.
Last 28 February 2011, they organized an attempt to break their own record by expanding the garden with 2,968 flower baskets. The garden STILL holds the record then for “the largest number of hanging flower baskets” in the world.
Check out the Al Ain Paradise site HERE. Check out the record at the Guinness World Records HERE.
And here are some of my photographs. You might want to click the image to enlarge it.
God’s creations. Simply wonderful.
Oh my goodness! I’m speechless (almost). 😉
I have never seen anything like this. No wonder it holds the Guiness World Record! Your photos are amazing, and I’m starting to see that you are an accomplished photographer.
I followed your link to Al Ain Paradise, and it’s neat the way their pics open up. I bet people come from all over just to see this…
Thanks for sharing… : )

Hi LINDA, thanks for dropping by! I am not a professional photographer, hehe! This is just a point-and-shoot digital camera. I’m still contemplating on buying a DLSR cam. Do you really think these shots look like they were taken by an accomplished photographer?! That’s a complement then! Thanks!!!!
We came to the park on a time when there are less people, so I got shots with less people on the background. But just before we left, people start flocking. Late afternoons are usually crowded.

I believe the word paradise originally meant a walled enclosure or garden, as, for example, in the hanging gardens in Babylon. If anything belongs in the Guinness book, it is hanging flower baskets. Bravo, Nelson.

Ang ganda ng view! Seriously, if they can do that here in the Philippines and maintain it with much love and enthusiasm, everyone would frequent that place. Kaso kasi, iba naman yung motive ng mga tao ngayon sa pagpunta sa parks, nasisira tuloy yung ambience.

One trivia here… the people who are taking care of these flowers are mostly Filipinos!
