A Day in Paradise

It was my wife’s birthday.

She only wanted a simple day.

But how could I just let that day pass without even a simple celebration. And because  I couldn’t bring her a dozen roses, I brought her to a million flowers – to a place called “paradise.”

Get ready to treat your eyes…

Al Ain Paradise is a garden park in our city which opens only during spring – a time when flowers  are in full blossom. It holds the Guinness World Record for the largest display of hanging flower baskets.

I dedicate all these flowers to you 🙂

Weekly Photo Challenge: FLOWERS

Whew! It’s been a while since I really wrote something. If you would notice, my posts for the last two months were merely reposts for “Inspirational Sundays”. This is because the last two months have been a busy time for me, but I would not want to miss a week not posting anything. That’s the reason why “Inspirational Sundays” was born.

My schedules are slowly getting better, so I guess I will be able to write something meaty again in the next few days. Here goes another comeback – the “Weekly Photo Challenge” whose themes are provided weekly by WordPress. The theme is released on Fridays, but to allow me to dig in to my files,the posts will be out on Saturdays here at Digital Catharsis. This week’s theme is “FLOWERS”.

These pictures were taken last January during spring time here in Al Ain. This was at Al Ain Paradise, and this garden was included in this year’s Guinness Book of World Records for holding the largest display of hanging flowers in the world. I have a previous post about this HERE.

Weekly Photo Challenge: SPRING

This post is actually a week late. This theme was last week’s. But I had to wait for this trip to Al Ain Paradise, so I could get nice pictures to post for the theme.

Al Ain Paradise is a stunning garden located in Al Ain City, managed by Akar Lanscaping Services and Agriculture.  The garden had set the Guinness World Records achievement last year with 2,426 hanging flower baskets.

Last 28 February 2011, they organized an attempt to break their own record by expanding the garden with 2,968 flower baskets. The garden STILL holds the record then for “the largest number of hanging flower baskets” in the world.
