Heroes of Yolanda

2 weeks after Typhoon Yolanda devastated central Philippines, there are still lots of people needing help. Thanks God for all the kind-hearted individuals, organizations and countries who responded to the crisis, and who are continuously helping up to this time.

I decided to come up with a new site – HEROES OF YOLANDA – to celebrate modern-day heroes created by this calamity. This is my way of appreciating all the efforts – big or small – to help my countrymen.

The new blog is still a work in progress. If you know any individuals or organizations who have made any contributions in helping out Typhoon Yolanda victims, please send the article, or the link to heroesofyolanda@yahoo.com.

Please show your support by visiting the site and let us inspire more people to help in this humanitarian crisis.

We need your help!

Calling all bloggers. Please repost this to reach more people.

I was watching this morning’s newscast and there are still hungry typhoon victims not reached by help.

Typhoon Yolanda left millions of people homeless, starving and worst, without a family. Please do something to help.

5 days to go!!!

couple-and-baby-in-jeans-resized5 more days and I’ll be home. I feel a different excitement.

I cannot count anymore how many times I have packed my stuff to come home. Each time, there’s a certain feeling of excitement not only because I am finally getting a long rest from a stressful work environment, but also because I am seeing my loved ones and friends.

But this time, there’s another level of excitement I am feeling. It’s because I am coming home to my very own family. This is the first time that I am coming home to the Philippines with a wife and son waiting for me. I left my wife while she was pregnant with Inigo and so this is the first time that we will be whole as a family.

It’s so nice to come home. Can’t wait.

No one person can ever experience all that life has to offer. It is only through sharing - experiences, feelings, insights - that we can hope to grow beyond our own meager lifetime.

Nurses are tough people. But behind great nurses are inspirations to keep them doing what they need to do - TO CARE.

Nurse or non-nurse, please feel free to move around the site. Everybody needs inspirations to be encouraged every now and then.
