Nice thought, but not necessarily true. I know people who have died more than once—one fellow struck by lightning three times—and lived to tell about it. I, myself, died shortly after birth, just long enough to cause some brain damage. But, here I am…almost 67 years later, still alive and kicking. Well, maybe not so much kicking any more, but still alive. 🙂 Still, it is a good thought.

Good point, Cris! If a person died, and came back to live because he survived, then did he “almost died” only? Oh that’s too much to discuss now hehe. Thanks for sharing your views!

Coming from your background, I can see your point of view. But in pretty much all the cases I have heard described, those who have died and came back were pronounced dead by the attending doctors. That pretty much means that they were clinically dead, wouldn’t you agree?

In my case, no one knew I was dead because babies, in those long-ago days, were left by themselves much of the time, and given the fact that my mother wasn’t able to see me because she was having her own struggles with life, I must have just given up and gone back home, wherever that might have been.

I was gone long enough to cause some brain damage which showed up in a 1980 CAT scan of my brain.
