God, Can I Ask You a Question?

Me: God, can I ask You a question?
God: Sure
Me: Promise You won’t get mad … … … … …
God: I promise
Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?
God: What do u mean?
Me: Well, I woke up late
God: Yes
Me: My car took forever to start
God: Okay
Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait
God: Huummm
Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call
God: All right
Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn’t work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?
God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that
Me (humbled): OH
GOD: I didn’t let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.
Me: (ashamed) God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn’t want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn’t afford to miss work.
Me (embarrassed):Okay
God: Your phone went dead bcuz the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn’t even let you talk to them so you would be covered.
Me (softly): I see God
God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn’t think you wanted to be in the dark.
Me: I’m Sorry God
God: Don’t be sorry, just learn to Trust Me…. in All things , the Good & the bad.
Me: I will trust You.
God: And don’t doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.
Me: I won’t God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.
God: You’re welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children.

Everything happens for a reason, even the bad things. I always say the bad things must happen so the good things can come out of it. Lovely post. 🙂

Whoever posted this has not studied world history. Children such as ones in Ethiopia and Sudan suffer because of our own decisions both as individuals and as a human community. God breathes life into our world and we destroy it given free will to honor His creation. Why don’t you?

Interpretation: God helps put your first world problems into perspective (hilariously might I add), but doesn’t find ways to help suffering in the world. Because humans are eeeeevil! Maybe we have too much iron in our diet?

God is no respecter of men- rain falls on the just AND the unjust alike- WE CHOSE to sin- WE COSE hitler, manson, world wars, starvation, disease, droughts, evils, crimes, Genghis khans, you name the horrors, WE CHOSE that in the garden- We were offered continued paradise, and WE CHOSE not to accept it. You insinuate that only third world countries suffer horrors-? Really? What about the billionaire who’s son or daughter is born without skin? or has some massive defect that can’t be corrected? Or is blind, or suffers one terrible infection and amputation after another? The consequences of our CHOICE in the garden for sin over paradise fall on ALL- not just ‘those who deserve it’ (whoever that may be), or the ‘most underprivileged’ peoples/nations/, The consequences of our CHOICE of sin in the garden affect everyone- some more, some less- but privileged positions to NOT make ANYONE immune- it may afford them better care, but the sin STILL has affected the victim, and NOT all privileged victims successfully beat the sin-caused diseases they are afflicted with. The brother who went for water and died along the way- ‘evil’? Or was God being merciful by helping that person not have to endure more severe pain and suffering later in life due to their circumstances or bad choices? Do YOU know all? See all? Do YOU know what that person would have chosen later in life? What kind of person they were to become? Do YOU know that the younger brother with the worm in eye and hurting feet might be better off where they are than to be in another part of town possibly breaking the law, or making bad decisions that could take his life? or make his conditions even worse? YOU know all the variables in that person’s life? YOU KNOW what that particular person needs in order to find God? Are people evil? You betcha- BUT WE CHOSE that life, and we see the horrible results of that bad choice just as God warned us would happen- Question is, are you going to keep blaming God for the ‘innocents’ who suffer? Or are you going to allow the FACT that YOU do NOT know all there is to know, and that God DOES know all there is to know, and makes JUST and Righteous decisions based on this knowledge? Or are you going to insist you know better than He How this world needs to be run? Are You suggesting that God can only be a good loving merciful God IF He makes us immune from suffering? Would you only stay married to your spouse IF they ONLY made your life as comfortable and trouble free as possible? What kind of love is that? Pretty selfish one I’d say

We didn’t choose anything in the garden. Only an evil deity would create a world where the sins of the father pass to the son. God set up the world and let it play out. God did not act as the parent he should have. And then when his children fail to act justly, he lashes out not only them but all their descendants.

This also makes your god a hypocrite, as presumably he authorised the writing “The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.” – Deuteronomy 24:16

Yet we all suffer death regardless. Hell, we are born sinful according to your god. But why? Because our naive ancestors were deceived. Was god there to encourage them or guide them? Did god give examples? No! No, he left them alone with something dangerous and condemns them for being curious.

              This is horrible parenting.

and just for the record, who is the malignant evil one? God? Or the rich nations that withhold money from the poor ones where the child is starving and in need of medical help? Is it God that is evil? Or is it the individuals whom HE has allowed to become rich who hoard their riches and turn a blind eye to the sufferings of the poor? To whom much is given, much is required- Ask yourself, Do you have much compared to that child in the story above with the eye worm and hurt feet? IF so, God ALLOWED YOU riches (more than the starving child has) and you aren’t helping starving children, children with medical needs, orphans etc but yet you blame God for those people going hungry and suffering? Interesting. Yep- God did help the rich nations become rich- but it wasn’t His intention that they should hoard those riches while people starve to death around the world- Yet because people ARE inherently evil because WE CHOSE to sin in the garden- these rich people WILL continue to deny poor people the help they need- You say God hasn’t done anything? I’d say He’s done quite a bit- He has ALLOWED people who hate Him, Who blame Him for everything, people who despised His name even, to become rich, wealthy, pampered, comfortable- BUT WE- Evil men and women, abuse what /HE has done for us by ignoring those in need, and then, to top it all off, WE turn around and blame HIM< for their suffering? God HAS provided via you- question is, what are YOU going to do about it?

Again, ‘we’ didn’t choose anything in the garden. That is an obvious lie.

I find it odd that you are so willing to use the phrase

“To whom much is given, much is required.”

And yet not see the hypocrisy of your god. Your god could have a personal relationship with everyone, talking to them directly. Instead we’re on our own. Thousands of people claiming to talk FOR god, but how do we separate the liars from those speaking the truth? Pointing to some holy book doesn’t help because those are also written by people making those claims!

If your god exists, he’s evil for allowing this world to be so horrible. No amount of rebellion could ever excuse such evil punishment. If your god exists, he is evil for allowing us to get to such genocidal levels without intervention. Hell, WE had to intervene. Not him. US. WE fought genocides. WE are fighting for social justice. Not your god. Us. We have studied nature and created vaccines and medicines to alleviate the suffering your god forced on us.

So by your argument, we ARE good. Because your god didn’t lift a finger to alleviate suffering. We did. We as a collective, not we as in two individuals.

But please understand. I’m not blaming your god for anything. Just as I don’t blame Molloch for the murder of children. This is a critique on the idea of your god. If he’s real, he’s evil. Even more evil than Molloch because Molloch doesn’t burn children forever. Your god does. Well, maybe maybe not, it depends on which version of the Christian god you believe in!

God: So you are only going to accept me IF I make life comfortable for you?”

        Child: ….

God: “Man sinned long go- Decided He didn’t want Me- I having given man free will ALLOWED Him to to experience sin and ALL that comes with it because I didn’t want robots- He CHOSE sin instead of the beautiful life I had given him. After he CHOSE sin, I gave him a way to escape from his bad choice- many men since CHOOSE NOT to accept that path and instead demand that I make life comfortable for them before they will deign to ‘accept’ Me. I’m nothing ore than a magic genie to these people. However, IF you can learn to trust me despite the consequences of sin in this life, I WILL give you life everlasting where there WILL be NO more sorrows, no more consequences for bad choices, no more death, pain etc- IF however you only want a magic genie to make YOU exempt from your sin choices, then I’m afraid I’m not the one you are seeking”

        Child: …..

        God: Are you still there?

Haha! It’s funny because your god has the same problem he blames others for.

God: If you don’t do what I want, you’re evil and I will create a world of unimaginable pain for you. I’ll only accept you if you’re perfect in my eyes. But you have to believe that I love unconditionally. If you don’t believe this, then that’s rebellion and evil! To the pits of hell to you to burn forever and ever and ever!

          But I love you!

This is wonderful, thank you for sharing. It reminds me of my confirmation verse which I so often turn to in times of trouble: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13 NIV
We often get in a hurry and delay God’s plan, but we can never thwart it entirely. Thank God for His gracious wisdom and forgiveness.

    My conversation with god

Me: God, I have a question
    God: What?
Me: Promise you won’t get mad,
    God: K
Me: God, why do you allow suffering to happen in the world?
    God: like?
Me: well This morning I woke up, and realized my house burned down and all my family dies, then When I got to work I couldn’t breathe because f lung damage caused by sleeping through the fire, then I was kidnapped and taken to Europe to be sold in a whore house, then they maimed me and then I went to jail for a crime I didn’t commit…. Also poor people, and religious wars…
God: Well your house was burned down by some drunk kids, your family was getting home late when the fire started, your lungs were tarred from the fire, European smugglers kidnapped you, you didn’t comply so your leg was removed, and some criminal got away, it happens, not my fault… also poor people idk, and religious wars, well they read something wrong, or right, idk
Me: but why can’t you stop that stuff and help out the world to be better?
    God: nah, it’s football season.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then He is not omnipotent. Is He able, but not willing? Then He is malevolent. Is He both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is He neither able nor willing? Then why call Him God?

I was sexually, mentally, emotionally and verbally abused by my grandfather as far back as I can remember. He did many terrible things, some of which are too distasteful for me to talk about publicly. I want to share my testimony, because so many people have been hurt, and they need to realize that someone has made it through their struggles so they can have hope. More than anything, I want you to know and really understand that anyone who has been abused can fully recover if they will give their life completely to the Lord…It may seem impossible, but God’s truth has set me free from a life of pretense and lies and has restored my soul. I am living proof that nothing is too hard for God. No matter what you’ve been through or how bad you’ve been hurt, there is hope!
