Promise Yourself Everyday…

It was a heavy day yesterday at work. There were heavy cases, and the patient and families do not seem to appreciate my hard work. I went home so depressed. But then I realized, it’s not like this everyday. So here goes a promise…

**********************************

Promise yourself everyday  . . . .

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel like there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living person you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, and too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

It can be tough on health care providers at times. They have a tough job. The patients and their families are not to blame either. They are going through emotional highs. I wonder if they arrange any in house discussion sessions for health care providers where they can ‘vent out’ their emotions too. That would be a good idea and other colleagues can offer advise.

    Stay happy!

      That’s a good idea,Quasar! I might suggest that 🙂
But for now, blogging has been my refuge. I am able to release without compromising my status at work 😀

Wonderful goals in your promises. You have a job that is stressful and hopeful at the same time.
I see the burdens patients can put on a health care provider’s face. I am also very aware of the hope health care providers can put on our faces. I wish you many days of sunshine and many moments of understanding the hope you provide to others will never go unnoticed.

I really admire your determination to stay optimistic under the hardest circumstances.

May I add one more to your list that has really helped me when I feel unappreciated? “If I can’t satisfy the person involved, I do it for God, and know that He appreciates my hard work and efforts.”

    Just a thought. Hugs… : )
