Day 3 at Yas Island: MISSING

BREAKFAST:

2 slices of toast, baked beans, potato hash brown, chicken sausage, turkey bacon, scrambled egg, and a cup of coffee.

What’s missing? My resistance to so much food.

I love this life.

PACQUIAO

At the field hospital, we started off with some warm up exercises. each of us took turns in taking the lead. When it was my turn, I taught them some of the taebo punches I know.

Reminded me of Manny Pacquiao’s boxing fight this 14th. I will definitely miss it because that day is also the finals race here in Formula One. Unless the hotel subscribes to HBO to let their guests watch the match in their respective rooms.

Oh, but I will still miss it! Coz if it’s televised live on tv, it’s going to be on a morning – and that is while I am on duty at the field hospital. Tsk tsk.

MISSING HOME

I have just been away for a few days, but I miss home already.

I realized something. The last time I was away this long from my wife and baby was also during the Formula One Grand Prix last year. I spent 7 days here at Yas Island.

I miss talking about many things with my wife.

I miss watching my son play around the room.

I miss my family. I miss home.

MISSING THE PEOPLE

My friend and I decided to go for a walk around the vicinity after the posh dinner at Asymetri. We walked along the street leading to the Ferrari World and Grand Prix Race Circuit.

We then walked back to the hotel areas and jumped from one hotel lobby to another – starting from Park Inn Hotel, Radisson Blu, going up to Crowne Plaza Hotel, then Staybridge Hotel, Centro Hotel, and lastly Rotana Hotel.

We enjoyed the lights and fountains during this time of the night. The buildings were well lit. The architectures were perfect. The landscapings were elegant. The only thing MISSING are the expected crowd who would appreciate all of these. There are still very less people in the island. I think they are only expected to come by the 11th or 12th.

Will wait for them then. Meanwhile, enjoy the snaps taken along the way 🙂

You can really use a word so many times and with different meanings. It is hard to resist good food especially when it’s already in front of you! The place seems so cool, good food, those evening lights you showed, the “work”. The only thing really missing back then was your family. Buti na lang kasama mo na sila ngayon 🙂
